Force Fins's Fab Force
"The
Fab Force™ is the first in a series of revolutionary new fin designs
by designer Bob Evans, for which his company received a dive industry
"Most Likely to Succeed for most Innovative New Product" award
from the Diving Equipment and Marketing Association (DEMA) earlier this
year.
The Fab force is crafted from a variety of high-tech materials in a
newly developed manufacturing process. Layers of thin sheet urethane-coated
nylon material are formed into a fin blade exoskeleton, within which
is cast durable polyurethane. The result is a fin blade that offers
high performance but is very lightweight; the snorkeling model weighs
about as much as a loaf of bread. In fact, the Fab Force is so light
it floats! Like other Force Fin models, the Fab Force design features
a split "V" blade that helps channel water behind you efficiently
for a powerful yet near-effortless kick. The nonskid sole is made of
recycled tires. The adjustable foot pocket is made of Lycra® laminated
cross-linked polyethylene. The foot pocket is comfortable enough that
you can wear Fab Force fins without booties.
Because the fins adjust easily to fit so many sizes, they're a great
choice for younger snorkelers whose feet are still growing. Force Fin
plans to introduce a Fab Force model for children, along with other
models designed for scuba diving and free diving. They're also perfect
for travelers, as they pack flat and don't add weight to your gear bag.
Fab Force fins are available in a variety of colors, including bright
tropical prints.
